Dr. Schmidt is board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He formerly was an instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is the author of several articles and book chapters on rhinoplasty and facial trauma.
